![]() ![]() Thomas is the best character in the maze runner series. He's a caring guy, and he's the most 'down to earth' there is. He's extremely intelligent which helps him survive throughout his journey. He's saved his friends on multiple occasions throughout the series. Why? Let's not forget how heroic this guy is. #The maze runner 3 characters seriesThomas is my favorite character in the Maze Runner series and one of my favorite characters of fiction period. Plus, last point I swear, he's played in the movies by Thomas Brodie-Sangster, and his interpretation and acting were completely amazing and breathtaking! All of this explains to me why he's the best character -ever for me. Even if he was a dark place, he was still looking out for his friends. Kinda hard, but that makes me feel like he is human, and that makes it even more likable. Something that I still think about, is his suicide attempt. I needed a character like Newt, and even if I really cried when he died, he'll always have a huge place in my heart. I know it kinda sounds personal, but when I watched and read the Maze Runner trilogy for the first time, I was in a really dark place. It's hard not to like him, but most important, I liked the fact that he gave hope, no matter what happens. I think Newt is probably the most human character I've ever seen. Congratulations to James Dashner for creating an amazing character and making everything about him so real. He deserved a better normal life and he never deserved that. It was hard to have to read about him slowly going insane, having the Flare hurt him so much, physically and emotionally, that he begs for his own friend to kill him. If you have read the Death Cure and if you are a fellow Newt fan, then you will know how hard it is to read about the kindest person in this story change his whole mind because of such a horrible disease. The way James Dashner has written about Newt makes you like his instantly in the beginning, but as the story goes on, love him more and more. He never deserved any of the bad things he got. Newt was such a real and lovable character. Warning, there may be spoilers in this comment. He always seemed like such a strong and important. I could go on for hours! He always gave the other Gladers hope, even in the maze, or in the Scorch. Newt is definitely the best! He's the most relatable character by far, and he's so funny, kind, cool, calm, collected. ![]() With his heart falling into a black abyss, Thomas pulled the trigger. 'KILL ME!' Then Newt's eyes cleared, as if he'd gained one, last trembling gasp of sanity, and his voice softened. 'Kill me or I'll kill you! Kill me! Do it!' 'I can't!' How could Newt ask him to do something like this? How could he possibly kill one of his best friends? 'Shut up! Just shut up! I trusted you! Now do it!' ![]() 'Kill me you shuck coward! Prove you can do the right thing! Put me out of my misery!' Then his voice dropped to an urgent, harsh whisper. "The words tore out of him, his whole body trembling. I did end up crying a lot when I saw the movie, and read the books. Newt was a kind, smart, and funny character. He has been through a lot of bad things, none of which he deserved. In one of the chapters it is revealed that Newt had tried to kill himself and ended up breaking his leg, along with many other injuries. ![]() After suffering for what seems like months, he finally goes completely insane and is killed by his best friend, finally ending the pain. With his loyalty to Thomas and everything he's done to keep his friends safe, his death was. Even in the very beginning, Newt was described as a very likable character. ![]()
